Understanding dyslexia and foreign language learning
Understanding dyslexia and foreign language learning
Why I am researching this
I am conducting independent research into how adults with dyslexia experience learning foreign languages.
This research comes from my own experience as a dyslexic adult who has spent years trying different approaches to language learning and discovering that many traditional methods do not account for the way dyslexic learners process and retain information.
About the research
The purpose of this research is to better understand the challenges, strategies and support needs of dyslexic adults learning foreign languages.
The findings will inform the development of accessible language-learning resources designed around the needs and experiences of dyslexic learners.
Who can participate?
Adults aged 18+
People with dyslexia (diagnosed or self-identified)
People who have learned or attempted to learn a foreign language
